Bishop D. Orlando Moore’s greatest desire is to hear the words of his Savior: “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of the Lord.”
Since surrendering his life fully to Christ in 1991, Bishop Moore has devoted himself to serving God’s people and advancing the Kingdom of God. His ministry journey began at Maranatha Church of God in Christ, where he faithfully served in numerous capacities—from deacon, minister, and elder to pastor, overseer, and bishop. His hands-on experience in every level of ministry has shaped him into a compassionate leader who understands the importance of both serving and leading.
Throughout his ministry, Bishop Moore has faithfully answered God’s call across the United States and internationally. He served on the ministerial staff at Elmendorf Air Force Base Chapel in Alaska, became a leader within Full Gospel Churches, and assisted in church planting efforts throughout Alaska. While serving military assignments in South Korea and Germany, he continued advancing the Gospel, leading worship services, mentoring leaders, and founding Genesis House of Praise in Germany. Through the years, he has planted churches, ordained pastors, and provided spiritual oversight to ministries throughout the United States, Europe, Africa, and beyond.
In 2005, Bishop Moore founded Word Center Christian Fellowship in Maryland, later expanding the ministry to additional locations. His passion for global outreach led to the establishment of Word Center Global Ministries, supporting ministry efforts and orphan care in Uganda while providing leadership to churches and pastors internationally. He continues to mentor clergy, train leaders, develop chaplains, and assist in building Christ-centered, Spirit-led ministries throughout the nation.
In addition to his ministry service, Bishop Moore honorably served 22 years in the United States Air Force. During his distinguished military career, he served as a certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Information Technology Specialist, and senior Non-Commissioned Officer, receiving numerous awards including the Defense Joint Meritorious Service Medal. His leadership experience extends from military operations and logistics to counseling, mentoring, and community service.
Today, Bishop Moore continues to provide leadership training, Christian counseling, couples and marriage counseling, pastoral mentoring, and ministry development. He remains committed to equipping leaders, strengthening families, and helping people experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Moore is a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Lady Dione Moore, a loving father of two daughters, grandfather of three, and a spiritual father and mentor to many. A lifelong learner, he holds a degree in Cyber Security, an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry, numerous professional certifications, and continues pursuing advanced theological education in Divinity, Pastoral Ministry, and Christian Counseling.
